2018 ACCS NATIONAL HONOR CHOIR

T he first ever ACCS National Honor Choir will be held June of 2018 at the ACCS Repairing the Ruins in Dallas.  The National Performance will be held Friday Night of the conference. Ages 14-19 are invited to audition, students must be attending ACCS member schools in some capacity or homeschool members of ACCS. Students can begin auditioning by October 15, 2017 through media uploads. The last day for submission will be January 15th 2018.  Those invited to participate will be notified by January 30th. A link will be provided for the audition piece to be submitted.  The cost for auditioning is $15.00.

Meet the Honor Choir Staff

David Erb
Choir Clinician & Conductor
Dr. Erb is fellow of music at New Saint Andrews College and has his graduate degrees in choral conducting from University of Wisconsin-Madison and Westminster Choir College.
Cody Laun
Vocal Coach
Cody Laun joined the faculty of New Saint Andrews College as voice faculty where he teaches applied voice and teaches music classes for the college. He is finishing his Doctorate in Music from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Sandy Belschner
Honor Choir Administrator
Sandy Belschner serves as the executive director of New Saint Andrews College Conservatory of Music where she oversees day to day operations of the students and families involved in music lessons.
Jarrod Richey
Kodály Music Teacher
Jarrod Richey is Director of Choral Activities and Music Program Director for Geneva Academy in Monroe, LA. He is a Kodály certified music teacher and founding music director of the Delta Youth Chorale.
  • Must be at least 14 years of age or older
  • Must be attending an ACCS member school or be a homeschool ACCS member
  • Must be willing & able  to travel to Dallas for the 2018 Conference
  • Must be able to pay a $275 Honor Fee, $500 for lodging and food + airfare.
  • Must have a solid grasp of music literacy
  • Must submit the vocal audition in a  clear, unaltered a capella recording online.
