Iain Anderson is a Senior at New Saint Andrews College and is part of the NSA Music Certificate program. He has 12 years of experience with oboe and is currently studying under Mrs. Dana Maeda. Before entering NSA, Iain played for six years in the Minnesota Youth Symphonies, as well as for both the orchestra and the symphonic band at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul. Currently, he plays for the New Saint Andrews Orchestra. Iain’s teaching method includes a balance of technical studies (e.g. Edlefsen, Gekeler, Rubank, Sellner) and solo repertoire. He looks forward to helping students grow in their love for the oboe and learn how to play excellently.
