Jocelyn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Cello Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as well as a Certificate of Higher Education Studies in the Theory and Practice of the Kodály Concept from the Liszt Academy Kodály Institute in Hungary. While studying in Nebraska, Jocelyn had the opportunity to teach both the cello and piano, including working with the beginners in Lincoln Homeschool Orchestras. She has also received Suzuki training from Shu-Yi Scott and Tanya Carey. Besides teaching, Jocelyn has participated seriously in chamber music for over a decade, working with members of world famous string quartets and other ensembles. She hopes to encourage her students to share this love for chamber music and to experience the joy of playing in community. When Jocelyn is not teaching or performing, you can expect to find her backpacking in the mountains.
